La Vie dans l'Obscurité: A Lookbook With Edge

The depths of despair, the brink of confusion, daze during the day, and flames at night. We are guided by the forces that surround us. This time the gritty gusto of Detroit was emblematized through our eyes. We fashioned the gang in fine black garms. This absence of color can provoke and be indicative of so many ideas. It can exude a rebellious edge and toughness, or a suave mysterious monochrome.

Ooze with edge while pairing classic-patterned trousers with a band tee and some shit-kicking, bad-ass shoes. Juxtapose a floral print with a tough leather jacket and Doc Martens. Channel a militaristic vibe with a tough bomber jacket. Add hardware like rings and chains to up the ante. There is also the choice to be smooth and seductive, pairing a crisp, classic button down with a buttery velvet noir blazer. There is no wrong way to approach dressing in the dark, it only requires an attitude.

We knew how to conglomerate normally solitary pieces to provide an aura of steel that will shake anyone’s backbone. This set reminded me of an underground cell space inhabited by 80's punk bodies, who knew nothing more than cigarettes, guitars, and switchblades. Tread these dark waters carefully, Detroit. We hope you enjoy.
